Heidi Kruse Campbell – Jewelry & Accessories
Born in Denmark and moved to the US in 2005. Married with a son. Besides my degree in social education I also went to a design school in Denmark. I’ve worked for a while making ball gowns and wedding dresses and working as a stylist in Denmark, Holland and the US.
Roman Chavez – Photography
My introduction to photography began when I was in junior high school. I became more interested in photography approximately ten years ago while attending an intensive two week course in film and digital photography. My primary interest at the present time is taking photographs of landscapes and animals. Several of my photographs have been exhibited at Gallery 4311 previously located at San Diego Hospice and Institute of Palliative Medicine. Most recently, I displayed my photographs at the Rancho Bernardo Winery.
Lisa Wraith – Lillipilli Designs – Jewelry
The lillipilli is a rainforest tree native to where I grew up in Australia. The tree is pretty, although nothing spectacular. But if you chance upon a fruiting lillipilli then you’ll realize the fabulousness of this little tree. Lillipilli berries are the kind of color you think can’t possibly be natural – they’re a “wow!” color, a vibrant hot pink that’s indescribably the perfect hot pink. Only years of evolution can produce a color like that. I chose to name my jewelry line after the humble lillipilli because I am inspired by the “wow” factors found in nature.
Now based in San Diego, I’ve moved towards creating aromatherapy or diffuser jewelry. I design and handcraft each piece from fish skin leather, an eco-friendly, natural-dyed leather. I first encountered this amazing highly textural material in a remote fishing village on the Southern Bight of Australia. Who knew that fish skin could be turned into leather?! This buttery-soft but robust leather certainly makes a statement! A drop of essential oil added to the back of the cuff and you’ll be feeling the therapeutic benefits of the oil all day as it is pressed up against your skin!
Clara H. Monsegur AKA Kalala – Candles
Clara H. Monsegur, AKA “Kalala” was born in Argentina and lived most of her life in the United States. In 2007, she returned to her hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she learned the art of candle making, igniting a passion for this art form and a fascination with natural illumination…two years later she established her own company, catering for events and selling her pieces to both individuals and businesses.
